The structuring of polymer surfaces by plasma technology
is achieved through longer reaction times. During this process
smallest amounts of material are milled from the plastic surface.
The milling of material and therefore a resulting surface wrinkling
supports adhesion coating material by providing a larger surface for
bonding. With high-performance plastics like PTFE, POM, PA and PEEK
plasma-structuring of the surface is necessary to improve adhesion.
